We are looking for a machine learning scientist to join our cross-disciplinary team and to define the future of quantum intelligence. The candidate will work closely with our machine learning and quantum computing team to pursue cutting edge research and development aligned with Qindom’s long-term QI goal.
At Qindom, we apply quantum computing and machine learning technologies to embed quantum properties into AI methodologies. This involves developing QI algorithms, models and software based on classical and quantum processors and architectures, designing QI solutions to high-value optimization and machine learning problems, and offering QIaaS platform services, etc.
The candidate will lead the research and creation of AI algorithms toward real-world applications. You are expected to have extensive knowledge in quantitative methodologies and to effectively apply them to solve business problems. Successful applicants will go through a training session in quantum computing and receive bonuses commensurate with their experience and progress.
What you need to succeed
Master or Ph.D. in Machine Learning (ML), Applied Statistics, Operational Research, Computer Science or an advanced degree in a related filed, and a minimum of 5 years of related industry or academia experience, or a combination of education, experience and demonstrated ability that is recognized internally and externally as equivalent;
Expertise in statistical modelling, optimization, AI, and applications of AI with demonstrated success in ML application to practical domains;
Deep understanding of ML theory and recent advances (ex. Deep Learning);
Pragmatic orientation to build ML solutions that work in the field;
Experience in design, training, validation and evaluation of ML models;
Understand at least one of the ML frameworks – TensorFlow, Scikit, MLPack, SparkMLib, Caffe, etc.
Self-motivated, proactive and flexible with excellent problem-solving skills;
Preferable have published in top-notch peer-reviewed journals.
Demonstrated experience in modern ML methods (ex. generative models) as well as implementing ML algorithms, probabilistic techniques and deep learning;
Knowledge of issues around ground truths and training sets for ML, including human judgment and A/B testing;
Understanding of quantum computing;
What you will do
Lead the research, development and validation of Quantum Intelligence or ML models to generate recommendations, alerts and other insights towards patents, research reports and technology whitepapers;
Promote the invention of cutting-edge ML tools and related techniques, the incorporation of cutting-edge computer science scholarship, and the application of ML techniques in FinTech, Telecommunication, Target Marketing, Robotics, etc.;
Participate in discussions with engineers and product leaders on best practices for incorporating ML into their products with quantum computing and supervising early ML prototypes all the way to demos and products;
Collaborate with engineers in applying ML techniques to internal data and compare benchmarks and established practices;
Lead our research team to advance statistical analysis in data processing and to develop processes, monitoring and testing automation frameworks, thus to ensure data, insights, and model quality while delivering analytical insights into ML techniques;
Support the design and implementation of experiments to evaluate and improve ML models and techniques.
