We are looking for a machine learning engineer to join our cross-disciplinary team to define the future of quantum intelligence. The candidate will work closely with our machine learning and quantum computing scientists to pursue cutting edge research and development that are aligned with Qindom’s long-term QI goal.
At Qindom, we apply quantum computing and machine learning technologies to embed quantum properties into AI methodologies. This involves developing QI algorithms, models and software based on classical and quantum processors and architectures, designing QI solutions to high-value optimization and machine learning problems, and offering QIaaS platform services, etc.
The candidate will focus on the research and development of computer vision and machine learning algorithms toward implementation, testing, deployment and evaluation. You are expected to have extensive knowledge of machine learning algorithms and to be able to effectively deliver them to various industry application levels with other members of our team. Successful applicants will go through a training session in quantum computing and receive bonuses commensurate with their experience and progress.
What you need to succeed
3+ years of applicable experience in industry or academia;
Master’s Degree in Machine Learning, Applied Statistics, Operational Research, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline. PhD is a plus to have.
Deep understanding of statistical modelling and machine learning;
Knowledge of quantum computing;
Demonstrated success in machine learning application to practical problems;
Grounding in machine learning theory and recent advances (ex. Deep Learning);
Pragmatic orientation to build ML solutions that work in the field;
Experience in design, training, validation and evaluation of machine learning models;
Understanding of issues around ground truths and training sets for ML, including human judgment and A/B testing;
Experience with machine learning frameworks – TensorFlow, Scikit, MLPack, SparkMLib, Caffe, etc.
Experience with Spark, big data processing, Hadoop, etc.
Hands on experience with Java, Python and/or C++;
Knowledge of Matlab, R and other tools;
Demonstrated experience in implementing machine learning algorithms, probabilistic techniques and deep learning;
Hands-on experience in modern machine learning methods (ex. generative models);
Self-motivated, proactive and flexible with excellent problem-solving skills.
What you will do
Research, develop and validate Quantum Intelligence or Machine Learning models to generate recommendations, alerts and other client insights, and to build client-facing business processes;
Work closely with product, engineering, and research to take early ML prototypes all the way to demos and products;
Consult with engineers and product leaders on best practices for integrating ML into their products with quantum computing;
Write production quality high performance machine learning code;
Apply machine learning techniques to internal data and compare established baselines;
Work with our research team to advance statistical analysis in data processing and to develop processes, monitoring and testing automation frameworks, thus to ensure data, insights, and model quality while delivering analytical insights into the product;
Design and implement experiments to test and improve the quality of machine learning algorithms.
